I'm deeply disturbed by the purported "reporting" done by Lou Dobbs on CNN. He is 100% entitled to his opinion, but masking it under the umbrella of his concern for the middle class and his Dudley-Doright persona is wrong. He has become pompous, holier-than-thou, and his show is now a ridiculously obvious platform for his personal goals: selling his books and trying to get himself on some sort of political platform.
His overuse of the words "so-called" and "supposedly" should send up screaming alarm bells for anyone who might possibly mistake him for a 'reporter'. His remarks regarding Barack Obama's reference to his grandmother are comical. I find it hard to believe that Mr. Dobbs wouldn't cross the street himself if he met some young black men making their way down the street toward him. Give me a break. It's blatantly obvious he doesn't share many of the same whitewashed ideals he spouts to America daily.
He's hoping to recruit enough independents that will write him in for some kind of office. I'm an independent, have been for countless years, but I can assure his smug and cloying persona does not represent many independent thinkers.
Take a step back, and get over yourself, Mr. Dobbs. You still put your pants on the same as everybody else. I'd be interested to see you navigate the frightening waters these candidates are doing. You probably just belong on satellite radio.
